Carol Anderson will not renew her contract as Chief Financial Officer of Mohegan, which is set to expire on March 31, 2024. In response, Mohegan has initiated a search for her successor and plans to share more details about the transition soon.
Anderson has served as CFO since March 2021, previously holding the position of senior vice president for treasury, capital markets, and associate general counsel at Scientific Games. Earlier in her career, she worked as an associate at Latham & Watkins, Lehman Brothers, and Weil, Gotshal & Manges.
In her statement, Anderson acknowledged the difficulty of her decision, emphasizing the need to focus on personal and family commitments after her contract ends. "I am grateful for the tremendous opportunity to serve the Mohegan organization. I remain committed to contributing to a smooth and successful transition," she said.
James Gessner Jr., chairman of the Mohegan Tribe, praised Anderson’s integral role in the company’s development. "Carol’s commitment to the Mohegan organization has been evident in the strategic decisions and leadership she has displayed throughout her tenure," he noted, adding, "Her contributions have been instrumental in our company’s growth and we wish her the utmost success in her future ventures."
