Brazil Supreme Court Bars Flávio Bolsonaro from Foreign Travel

In Brazil, Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes has ordered Senator Flávio Bolsonaro to surrender his foreign travel documents and has imposed a communication ban with lawyer and businessman Willer Tomaz. According to CNN Brasil, this confidential ruling demands that Flávio's Brazilian passport be annulled, and he must return all international passports within 24 hours.

Following his defeat in the 2026 elections, Flávio was summoned by the Federal Police on Monday to comply with the law and provide his travel documents. He and Tomaz are under investigation in the Supreme Federal Court for potential money laundering and currency evasion, as authorities seek to determine the nature of their partnership.

The Federal Police are examining allegations that Flávio collaborated with Tomaz to disguise the origin of funds through betting houses. This investigation was initially reported by Folha de S.Paulo on October 19. Flávio Bolsonaro has publicly dismissed the allegations, asserting that he and Tomaz are merely friends without any professional ties. He described the court's decision as “an aggression against legal certainty.”

Flávio has also denied any wrongdoing and claims he has no financial connection with Tomaz or his businesses. The investigation remains ongoing, and the allegations have yet to be substantiated.
