Nevadanumbers saw a dip year over year in November at both the casino and the sportsbooks.
The state casinos generated more than $1.2 billion of revenue in 2018 than the $1.3 billion collected in 2021. This is a 7.6% drop. This drop was more acceptable for Las Vegas strip casinos, which saw their revenues fall 11.3%. Downtown Las Vegas was flat over the past year. These numbers raised total Clark County revenues to just under $1.06 billion, compared with $1.16 million last year.
The largest drop in Strip casino revenues is seen starting 2021. However, the Reno region and Carson Cityregion saw similar declines to Clark County.
Like other states in the US, Nevada’s sportsbooks suffered from the Mattress Mak pain during November. The Texas mogul was paid major sums on the $927 million wagers. Although it would have been hard to match $72 million of earnings in November 2021 with McIngvale payments, revenues fell by 48%.
The $4.7 million lost by casinos on baseball bets impacted the $22.9million in NFL and college football betting earnings. Parlays saw $1 million of revenue, which was also below the average. This is an increase of 76% over the prior year.
Only 4% was recorded for Hold. This is a notoriously low number in Nevada.
The $20.1 million that was online generated $37.7million in revenue. All the rest were brick and mortar bets.
