The Washington State Gambling Commission has approved Wednesday’s regulatory approval for Maverick Gaming to acquire Evergreen Gaming Corporation.
Maverick Gaming took over operations of the property on Wednesday, December 21 . Maverick Gaming purchased Evergreen Gaming shares and assets in exchange for $80,475,000 cash.
Evergreen Gaming has four cardrooms located in Washington State. They are Chips Casino, Goldies Casino, Palace Casino, Lakewood, and Riverside Casino, Tukwila.
Maverick is a strategic acquisition that will be crucial for its continued dominance of Washington State. This transaction will bring tremendous consolidation, as well as marketing and operational benefits for our company. Maverick Gaming CEO Eric Persson stated that Maverick Gaming will quickly integrate the two companies in every aspect and expects to reap the benefits of this acquisition by January.
Maverick Gaming now owns 31 casinos, hotels, and manufacturing businesses in Washington, Nevada, and Colorado as a result.
Maverick Gaming has assets that include more than 360 tables, 2700 slot machines, 1300 hotel rooms, 50 restaurants, and about 3500 employees. Maverick’s credit rating is BBB- from Moody’s, S&P. It is super majority owned and controlled by Eric Persson (CEO) and Justin Beltram (COO), who together have more than 40 years of gaming experience. They also own 16 years’ at Las Vegas Sands, the largest casino company in terms of market capital.
