A prominent entertainment company has taken a strategic step to expand its presence on the Latvian gaming industry.
Paf can create a third online gambling company by acquiring two large gaming sources in Latvia, WilliamHill.lv and MisterGreen.lv. This deal covers all of 888 Holding’s Latvian businesses including the gaming websites, and Latvian licenses.
Paf Chief Executive Christer F. Fahlstedt expressed concern:
Paf is aware of the enormous long-term potential on the Latvian market, and considers this acquisition to be a well-planned move. Paf has been present in Latvia since 2018. It is now committed to consolidating and strengthening its position in the market with an eye on long-term stability and growth.
Christer Fahlstedt added:
Users of gaming sites will not notice any changes as the transition will be seamless. Paf will also establish a new office, in the capital. Over 20 experts from the Paf team will be joining the Paf team. This will further strengthen the company’s position in the region.
As part of Paf’s strategic decision, the newly acquired gaming websites will retain their existing brands to ensure a smooth transition.
888 Holding Plc has a distinguished status in the iGaming industry. With multiple markets, and an 11K-strong team, 888 is one of the largest companies in the world. On May 19, the agreement was signed with Pat, which allowed Paf to control 888’s Latvian operations in June.
