Pornhub’s Ties with the Casino Vertical
Pornhub is an adult entertainment site that offers a variety of videos with casino themes. A search online will reveal that Pornhub Casino is an online casino. This website is registered in Curacao and combines adult entertainment with casino games. Online gamblers can play with half-clothed dealers and some adult stars. It is not clear if Pornhub Casino is connected to Pornhub, and if so, what impact would the acquisition have.
The most interesting thing about the ECP takeover is its strong representation of women on the advisory board. Five of the six current members of ECP’s advisory board are women. Sarah Bain, one the founding partners of ECP, predicted that the acquisition would see MindGeek platforms “operate with trust and safety at their forefront of all they do.”
She explained that MindGeek will work with governments, stakeholders, and content creators to “address misalignment between MindGeek’s operations and what the public perceives of this industry and these platforms.”
