The Canadian Gaming Summit, which is the country’s leading gaming and betting event, will feature a lively exhibition and many networking opportunities.
The and’ Leaderships’ conference tracks will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on June 14. This event is undoubtedly the highlight of the 26th edition. It highlights the most influential decision-makers in Canada’s gaming industry, as well as thought leaders and innovators.

The conference track’s opening panel will discuss Canada’s potential as an international hub for iGaming innovations. Scott Vanderwel(CEO PointsBet Canada), Amanda Brewer(Country Manager Canada and Kindred), Dale HooperGeneral Manager Canada, FanDuel) and Scott Woodgate(VP Canada, BetMGMM) will discuss how Canada can capitalize on its position as a tech hub and center of global investments to become a global center for iGaming innovations.
The panelists will draw upon their experience as operators in Canada who were among the first to be granted legal operator titles. They will also discuss how local operators can compete for market share with larger organizations. The speakers will also discuss the possibility of regulatory collaboration between jurisdictions, and look at the potential for other provinces to chart a course.
The second panel will be dedicated to regulators. They will discuss the key lessons learned from the opening province of Ontario, and how they can be applied in other provinces or Canadian territories. Martha Otton will be the panel’s Executive Director of iGaming Ontario. This subsidiary of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario was created to regulate the new market. Tom Mungham will be the Chief Executive Officer of AGCO.
Panelists will discuss how different provinces can work together to share best practices and expand their economies. The panelists will also examine the accuracy of predictions made at the opening of the Ontario market. The speakers have extensive experience in regulation and will offer valuable insights on how Canada’s gambling sector can thrive over the next few years.
The keynote fireside chat with Ray Pineault (CEO, Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment), and Ilkim Hicer will be the closing keynote. They will discuss the convergence of iGaming and land-based gaming and how established land-based businesses can benefit from their expertise by transferring their core values to digital platforms. They will also discuss partnerships with regulators, First Nations, and how omnichannel experiences can simultaneously meet the needs of different audience groups.
