William Hill is the Grand National’s official betting partner in a 3-year agreement.

William Hill will be the official betting partner and sponsor for three races at Aintree during the Grand National.

Festival dates are 13-15 April.

Three races will be held on the 13th of April: the Grade 1 William Hill Aintree Hurdle, the William Hill Handicap Hurdle and the Grade 3 William Hill Handicap Chase.

Non-runner, money-back

William Hill will offer bets that include money back for non-runners.

William Hill’s Head of Sponsorship, Social and PR, Daryl West said that the company is “delighted” at the opportunity to participate as the official betting partner in the event for the next 3 years.

He said, “The Grand National Festival in Aintree represents the pinnacle of the National Hunt Calendar and we’re delighted to participate as the official betting partners for the next 3 years.”

Horseracing, a part of the heritage we hold dear to us, was a natural decision. We decided not only to sponsor the largest race but also a major event on the sporting calendar.

William Hill has also confirmed that they will accept non-runner money back terms as of 9am on Tuesday (20th February). This means that bets placed by customers who bet against a horse that does not compete in the race, can be returned to their account.

Dickon White said, “William Hill has become synonymous with the sport of horseracing in Britain. We are delighted that they will be a part of our Aintree meeting for the next 3 years.”

Organisational Reshuffle

888 William Hill announced in January that Phil Walker, a former UK managing director at William Hill and now the managing director of UK & Ireland, would take over.

Walker was previously the chief operating officer of Gibraltar’s stock exchange.
