SoftConstruct and Genius Sports reached an agreement to end their legal dispute that was centered around Genius Sports’ ownership of data related to sports.
SoftConstruct has signed an agreement for a multi-year period with Genius to recognize Genius’ rights in the database.
The London-based data and sports technology company will supply data to the igaming business for the BetConstruct channel and FeedConstruct channel.

This settlement is Genius’ second in a series of agreements reached over the past few months. It follows the conclusion of its lengthy dispute with Sportradar regarding Premier League, EFL, and Scottish Professional Football League data.
Sportradar challenged Football DataCo ‘s 2020 exclusive rights agreement with Genius Sports BetGenius division. This granted data to the firm from over 4,000 FDC syndicated games.
Sportradar agreed to stop using any unofficial instadia data. The FDC retained the right to license and market their data, while Genius retained the rights for the low latency data.
