ChatBet has joined forces with iSolutions to broaden access to AI-driven betting experiences in Africa and other developing markets. This collaboration allows operators using the iSolutions platform to seamlessly integrate ChatBet’s conversational betting technology. Players can now explore markets, create bet slips, and finish their betting activities via popular messaging platforms like WhatsApp and Telegram, as well as through chat widgets on websites and apps.
The partnership aims to engage users through familiar channels, alleviating the challenges posed by traditional sportsbook applications and mobile websites. Africa holds significant potential for conversational betting, given that messaging platforms are already integral to consumer communication, transactions, and brand interactions.
Combining the infrastructure and local partnerships of iSolutions with the innovative conversational technology from ChatBet, the collaboration seeks to enhance accessibility, user-friendliness, and relevance in betting practices.
Josh Swerdlow, the founder and CEO of ChatBet, emphasized the advantages of partnering with iSolutions, stating, "iSolutions gives us a strong platform partner for expanding across Africa and other high-growth markets. In many of these markets, messaging is already the primary digital interface. The opportunity is not to force players into another app, but to allow them to discover, engage and transact through conversations they already understand. This partnership will make it significantly easier for iSolutions operators to add conversational betting as a new acquisition, engagement, and transactional channel."
Filippo Ceci, co-founder and director of iSolutions, highlighted his company's strategy of incorporating the best products available based on client preferences and supported by consultancy. He explained, “Our operators drive their own business strategies. Our role is to support those choices with the right technology and the right partners. The partnership with ChatBet reflects exactly that approach. Conversational betting is particularly well suited to Africa and other mobile-first markets, and we are pleased to make the technology available across our operator network."
The two companies are already gearing up for an initial deployment with operators and anticipate additional launches across the network.
ChatBet, which launched in April, was introduced by Bola Group as the first conversational betting platform in Africa. CEO Hilton Hasson noted the significance of this development for both the company and the larger betting industry in Africa.
“Our teams have spent six months working on something that has never existed in Africa before,” Hasson said. “WhatsApp is already in everyone’s pocket, data costs make traditional platforms a barrier and sports betting in this market is still massively underserved digitally, and Chatbet solves all three."
The platform made its debut in Zambia, with plans to expand into other markets, including Zimbabwe and Malawi.
