Casino Games Tailored for the TikTok Generation

Casino operators are grappling with how to appeal to a new generation of players who thrive in a digital ecosystem focused on simplicity, speed, and instant gratification. However, many existing betting and gaming experiences still operate on older paradigms.

The complexity of sports betting can be daunting for newcomers due to the unfamiliar odds, markets, and terminology, especially when the outcome can take considerable time to materialize. Traditional casino games, too, can feel outdated compared to the fast-paced, ever-changing content on platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels.

This disconnect inspired entrepreneur George Yashin to establish Swipe Games, following an eye-opening experience during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. With a robust background in diverse businesses such as fashion technology and sneaker cleaning, Yashin found himself struggling to place a simple football bet due to an overwhelming interface. His frustration led him to a betting shop for assistance.

Upon exploring casino games, Yashin noticed that they hadn’t changed much from the slot machines of his past. He began to conceptualize a new way of integrating the monetization potential of randomness in casino games with the engaging formats of social media. "What if you could bet on the result of a short video or a short TikTok?" he pondered.

This idea evolved into Swipe Games, a business based in Cyprus that aims to pioneer swipe games as a recognized category in the casino landscape. The company debuted its offerings late last year and has quickly garnered attention.

Rather than requiring players to sift through a traditional game lobby, Swipe Games proposes a continuous stream of short videos where users have three to five seconds to choose one of three outcomes in scenarios like a football penalty shoot-out—resulting in either a goal, a miss, or a save. If users are uninterested in a clip, they can swipe up for another.

"We are as quick as crash games, but the pattern and the feel are more like betting," explains Yashin. Currently, Swipe Games has 10 thematic titles, including football and cars, tailored to resonate with trending topics on social media. This approach makes it easy for social media users to adapt, as they’re familiar with the instinctive behavior of watching, deciding, swiping, and repeating.

As Yashin states, "The video itself is the game. We are combining two different worlds—betting and quick games." This strategy mirrors a broader trend toward making prediction markets more accessible, as consumers increasingly seek straightforward and intuitive ways to wager on future events. Swipe Games transforms short-form content into a fast-paced casino experience, with results revealed within seconds.

Since its sales launch in late 2025, Swipe Games has signed approximately 30 to 40 contracts, partnering with notable companies like BGaming, SoftSwiss, and 1xBet. Yashin has been pleasantly surprised by the strong reception from the industry and noted that feedback from sales personnel indicates Swipe Games is easy to pitch compared to other products in the market. Among leads gathered through events and networking, only one potential customer opted against integration, leaving a lineup of interested partners.

According to Yashin, his team's internal term for a highly marketable product is "hot pie," implying that Swipe Games is both novel and timely. Early player activity supports this notion; their metrics indicate that engagement with Swipe Games shows betting behavior more akin to sports betting than traditional crash games. In certain markets, the average bet for Swipe Games was reported to be 20 times higher than that of comparable crash games.

Retention data also provides positive indicators, as day-one, day-seven, and day-30 retention rates can exceed crash-game benchmarks by five to ten times in some regions. Players are drawn to the fresh experience that each swipe offers, setting it apart from typical crash games where visual familiarity may lead to predictability.

To sustain this constant variety, Swipe Games utilizes generative AI in content creation, ensuring a dynamic and ever-expanding library of videos which currently exceeds 20,000. This capability is crucial as Swipe Games aims to introduce new games or content every two weeks.

According to Yashin, AI is also employed to enhance the development and integration processes; direct integrations can occur within 24 hours, while reverse integrations usually accommodate partners in less than three weeks, including testing.

Swipe Games seeks to achieve ambitious monthly betting volumes of €600 million, but Yashin envisions a future where it evolves into a foundational aspect of iGaming. He imagines a casino experience where players find a dedicated Swipe button offering a personalized feed of content, transforming how casino entertainment is consumed.

Yashin believes that the implications of generative and real-time AI could considerably influence various iGaming arenas, such as live casinos, possibly changing the role of physical presenters. He sees this technology as more rapidly integrated into the industry than anticipated.

While competitors may emerge if swipe gaming takes off, Yashin remains confident that replicating the creative dynamism and responsive content generation that defines Swipe Games will prove challenging. "You can copy the mechanic, the name, and the theme, but you cannot copy the creative itself," he asserts.

Yashin concludes that each era of iGaming has been distinctly marked by a transformative format—slots were foundational, live casinos enhanced realism, and crash games revitalized instant play. He perceives swipe games as poised to establish a new paradigm in gaming, emphasizing that players continue to seek novelty. "I think the next wave is games with more content inside, and we see swipe games as potentially being the next wave."
