Casino operators aiming to attract a younger generation of players are grappling with a unique challenge. This new cohort has grown up in a digital landscape characterized by speed, simplicity, and instant gratification. In stark contrast, much of the existing betting and gaming environment employs a complex structure that can be off-putting to newcomers.
Sports betting can present a bewildering array of odds and terminology, while the outcomes from events can take time to materialize. Traditional casino games, on the other hand, often feel disconnected from the fast-paced short-form content that dominates platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels.
George Yashin, the founder of Swipe Games, experienced this disconnect firsthand during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. With approximately 15 years of experience in various sectors including fashion technology, retail hardware, and sneaker cleaning, as well as investments in early-stage tech ventures, he was surprised by the complexity of placing a football bet. Frustrated, he sought assistance at a betting shop to learn the ropes.
His subsequent exploration of casino games revealed that they had not evolved significantly from the slot machines he remembered. This led him to ponder a novel concept: merging the lucrative randomness associated with casino games with the engaging elements of social media. Yashin questioned, "What if you could bet on the result of a short video or a short TikTok?"
This inquiry laid the groundwork for Swipe Games, a startup based in Cyprus, which is now positioning itself to create a new category of gaming by redefining how casino experiences are structured. Since launching its sales late last year, Swipe Games has rapidly gained traction.
Instead of a conventional game lobby, Swipe Games mirrors the structure of social media feeds, offering players a continuous stream of short videos. Participants have a mere three to five seconds to choose among three outcomes. For instance, in a game based on a football penalty shootout, players could select a goal, a miss, or a save. If they're not interested in a particular video, they can swipe to view another.
As Yashin articulates, "We are as quick as crash games, but the pattern and the feel are more like betting. We are combining two different worlds – betting and quick games." Currently, Swipe Games offers 10 titles, all themed around popular topics online, ensuring familiarity for social media users transitioning to casino gaming.
This approach aims to create a seamless experience, allowing players to utilize their existing habits—watching, deciding, swiping, and repeating—within a gaming framework. "The video itself is the game," Yashin explains.
The company’s growth indicates that the broader gaming industry recognizes this concept. Even though Swipe Games began selling towards the end of 2025, Yashin claims it has established 30 to 40 contracts with partners such as BGaming, SoftSwiss, and 1xBet. Industry professionals note that one Swipe Games business development manager remarked it was the simplest new product to pitch he had encountered in over two decades.
Feedback from potential partners has been overwhelmingly positive; of 50 generated leads through various events, only one opted out of integration, leaving the company with numerous prospective collaborators. Yashin coined the term "hot pie" within his team to describe the product's market appeal, emphasizing its novelty and readiness for adoption.
Early player data further supports the effectiveness of Swipe Games. Comparisons with crash games show that while a typical Swipe Games round lasts eight to ten seconds, player engagement patterns resemble those found in sports betting rather than crash gaming. In one specific market, average stakes for Swipe Games were reported to be 20 times higher than those for crash games.
Retention metrics have also provided positive indications, with players returning at rates significantly higher than standard benchmarks in the industry. Data on user sessions revealed that players interact with Swipe Games more like they are betting than merely playing a quick crash game.
A major challenge for any casino game is maintaining content freshness. As players recognize clips, they become less appealing. Swipe Games employs generative AI to overcome this hurdle, producing varied video content by blending various technology models with contributions from its creators. With over 20,000 videos, the company is equipped to continuously refresh its offerings, intending to launch new content biweekly.
AI also enhances operational efficiency. Despite a small technical team, Yashin points out that the integration of AI tools allows them to operate as if they have a significantly larger workforce, ensuring swift setups for operators.
Swipe Games aims for a notable goal: to achieve €600 million in monthly bet volume. However, Yashin envisions a broader context for the product. He seeks to position Swipe not merely as another category of games but as an integral feature on gaming platforms—players could easily find a dedicated Swipe button, offering personalized and engaging content.
Yashin believes advancements in AI could eventually revolutionize areas like live casino gaming by employing AI-generated personalities in place of human dealers. He expresses confidence that the iGaming industry will adapt to these innovations more rapidly than anticipated.
As Swipe Games carves out its niche, Yashin acknowledges that competitors will likely emerge. While he welcomes competition, he believes rivals may struggle to replicate the rapidity and creativity that differentiate Swipe Games.
Each phase in iGaming history has seen the arrival of a groundbreaking format—slots, live casinos, crash games. Yashin believes swipe games represent the next major evolution, offering players new and enriching experiences. "People always need something new," he states. "I think the next wave is games with more content inside, and we see swipe games as potentially being the next wave."
