Stake Brasil Secures Court Ruling to Maintain Betting Operations in Brazil

Stake Brasil has successfully obtained a provisional court injunction that allows it to maintain its betting authorization and continue operations in Brazil, in accordance with conditions set by the Federal Court of São Paulo. This decision comes from the 9th Federal Civil Court of São Paulo, which granted a partial preliminary injunction against Provisional Measure 1,394/2026. As a result of this ruling, Stake Brasil is allowed to operate fixed-odds betting, with its authorization remaining valid until 25 October 2026. Furthermore, the firm’s website at stake.bet.br cannot be blocked or redirected, and no sanctions can be imposed for operations conducted per the court's stipulations.

To Stake Brasil's knowledge, it is the first licensed operator to secure such a ruling, which the company interprets as an encouraging sign for businesses functioning under governmental authorization and oversight. Stake Brasil emphasized the significance of acknowledging the legal standing of operators that have adhered to regulatory requirements, paid requisite authorization fees, and made substantial investments in Brazil's regulated market.

Stake Brasil believes that this decision underscores the necessity of legal certainty and regulatory stability, especially for companies that have complied with public authority mandates. The company also highlighted that consumer protection is a key advantage of a regulated betting market. They argue that having transparent rules, responsible gambling frameworks, and oversight from public authorities is crucial for effective consumer safety. Since the announcement of the Provisional Measure, Stake Brasil has ensured adherence to all imposed obligations.
