Play971, the first licensed online gambling platform in the United Arab Emirates, has entered into content partnerships with prominent global gaming suppliers IGT and Endorphina. The announcement, made on July 21, marks a significant enhancement to Play971's offerings, which now include IGT's extensive PlayDigital catalogue alongside a selected array of themed slot games from Endorphina.
Philippa Bowland, the commercial gaming director at Play971, expressed the company’s dedication to responsible gaming and high-quality entertainment with the addition of these esteemed providers. "We are proud to welcome IGT and Endorphina — two globally respected brands — as we continue raising the standard for gaming,” she stated.
IGT is contributing classic titles like Blackjack, Cleopatra, and Cats to the partnership. Gil Rotem, CEO of Digital at IGT, referenced the collaboration's foundation in "innovation and integrity," aimed at fostering growth in the UAE’s gaming market.
Endorphina's Senior Manager of Partnerships & Expansion, Lohith Chittajallu, remarked on the potential of entering a market in its infancy. "It’s exciting to be part of a market still in its early stages. We believe this partnership opens the door to new opportunities, and we can’t wait for players to experience the entertainment and quality that Endorphina is known for,” he said.
Endorphina received its gaming-related vendor license in May, allowing it to provide gaming products and services throughout the Emirates, compliant with the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority’s regulations.
Play971 made its debut late last year as the UAE’s first authorized gambling operator. Since launching, the platform has rapidly expanded its content library and commercial initiatives, which include appointing former Australian cricketer Brett Lee as a brand ambassador. In addition, it launched a football betting offering targeting UAE-based customers in the past month.
Play971's operating license was issued by the GCGRA, which was established in 2023 to oversee gambling regulation in the Emirates, including the management of licensing.
