The prestigious EGR Italy Awards took place at the Rome Cavalieri hotel, attracting major players from Italy's regulated online gambling sector. This annual event serves as a platform to celebrate operators, providers, and affiliates who have excelled in the industry over the past year.
For the 2026 edition, the awards introduced new categories, including "Affiliate Network of the Year," "Outstanding Contribution to the Italian Market," and the "Operator Performance Award." Additionally, established categories like "Affiliate of the Year" and "Best Customer Service" continued to recognize excellence in the field.
Casino2k, a prominent Italian affiliate portal with nearly 20 years of experience in the regulated gambling market, was nominated in two categories: "Casino Affiliate" and "Affiliate of the Year." Casino2k previously won the "Casino Affiliate" award in 2025, making their participation in this year’s event significant.
In addition to editorial offerings, Casino2k nurtures a community that assists Italian players, having helped users reclaim over €1.9 million in winnings through its forum.
The ceremony was attended by co-founders Matteo Giannone, Salvatore Martorana, and Stefano Franceschetti, who took the opportunity to engage with other industry professionals and recognize the accomplishments of the Italian gambling market.
Matteo Giannone expressed his thoughts on the event, stating, "Participating in an event like the EGR Italy Awards is always a special experience. Being among so many fellow professionals who share our passion for this industry reminds us how much the Italian market has developed over the years. We are delighted that Casino2k has once again been shortlisted in two categories and, although we didn't win this time, we are particularly grateful to everyone who contributes to our work and the growth of our community."
Despite not securing an award this year, Casino2k appreciated their dual nominations and congratulated Hub Affiliations, which won in both categories.
