The Times Rich List has a new top 20 spot for Bet365's owner.

Denise Coates, Bet365’s founder and her family, ranked 16th in 2023 Sunday Times Rich List for the richest people and families of the UK.

The latest edition of the list which is published each year by the Sunday Times newspaper, put Denise, John and Peter Coates and family in 16^th position with a total worth of PS8.80bn (EUR10.13bn/$10.97bn).

The same as the list of 2022, Coates’ family has accumulated an extra PS158m since the previous list was published.

The Coates family was ranked 15 ^th, with PS9.13bn, and 16 ^th with PS8.50bn.

Every year, the Sunday Times Rich List publishes its list of richest people.

Coates launched Bet365 in 2001 after borrowing PS15m from her family’s betting shops to launch the online gambling company.

Gopi Hinduja is an Indian-born businessman whose Hinduja Group includes Gulf Oil International, IndusInd Bank and other companies. He topped the list, with a fortune worth PS35.00bn.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe was second with PS29.69bn, CEO of INEOS Chemicals Group, who is linked to a takeover bid for Premier League football team Manchester United.

Sir Leonard Blavatnik came in third with 28.63bn PS, having made his fortune through media, investment and music.
