Playson has made a significant move by appointing Denys Koshel as its inaugural VP of Commercial Partnerships, a position aimed at enhancing the commercial support extended to its global operator network. This newly established role consolidates Playson’s account management and leadership in emerging markets into a strategic unit that will report directly to Chief Commercial Officer Ben Wood. The integration is intended to provide partners with consistent, data-driven, and responsive support, emphasizing improved communication, quicker decision-making, coordinated campaigns, and targeted commercial advice.
Koshel, who has been with Playson for nearly 11 years, previously held the position of Head of Emerging Markets. Throughout his tenure, he has engaged in various commercially oriented roles, including that of Commercial Analytics Lead, which involved significant collaboration on integration efforts. His extensive experience encompasses account strategy, market development, analytics, and operational execution, positioning him to guide the next phase in the evolution of Playson’s commercial services.
Ben Wood commented on Koshel’s new role: "Denys’ appointment as our first VP of Commercial Partnerships marks an important step in the continued evolution of Playson’s Commercial organisation. This transformation is ultimately about improving how we support our clients, bringing our commercial capabilities closer together to provide operators with more connected, insight-led, and business-focused partnership support. Over nearly 11 years with the company, Denys has built a deep understanding of our partners, products, markets, and internal operations. His combination of commercial, analytical and technical expertise makes him ideally suited to lead this new function."
Denys Koshel expressed his enthusiasm about his new role: "I am proud to take on this new role at an exciting stage of Playson’s growth. Our partners operate in increasingly competitive and complex markets, and they need suppliers who can support them with more than content alone. My focus will be on building a commercial service model that is clear, efficient, and genuinely valuable for our clients. By combining market knowledge, data, AI-driven insights, promotional planning, and operational discipline, while continuously optimising our internal processes through AI adoption and automation, we can help partners make better decisions, launch stronger initiatives, and get more value from Playson’s portfolio."
