In this Weekend Report, we highlight recent developments including BetMakers' acquisition of LVDC, Kambi's partnership with Ontario Lottery, and CopyBet's major horse racing sponsorship initiative. BetMakers Technology Group has finalized its acquisition of the Las Vegas Dissemination Company (LVDC), although the specifics of the deal remain undisclosed. Initially announced in December, the acquisition is projected to generate approximately $4.5 million in revenue within its first year. Founded in 1988, LVDC has provided vital services to the Nevada gaming sector for nearly 40 years, catering to sportsbooks, racebooks, and online betting platforms with race information and wagering solutions. This acquisition grants BetMakers direct access to significant US casino and sportsbook operators. In another development, Yaspa has joined as a founding member of the AI Research Hub (AiR Hub) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas International Gaming Institute. Yaspa, a fintech specializing in payments and identity solutions, partners with other industry leaders, including Aristocrat and Playtech, to explore the impacts of artificial intelligence on the gambling sector. Max Collinge from Yaspa emphasized the company’s commitment to integrating AI with open banking to foster a sustainable gambling ecosystem. Meanwhile, B90 Holdings anticipates exceeding revenue forecasts for the 2025 financial year, driven by a successful campaign performance. The company, which manages several brands including Bet90 and Oddsen.nu, aims to enhance its operational efficiency while strategically investing in marketing where the returns justify the expense. Kambi Group has officially taken over sports betting responsibilities for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG). This change follows Kambi's selection by FDJ Gaming Solutions to replace the former partner. OLG launched its Kambi-supported sportsbook on January 27, covering both digital and retail betting. Kambi CEO Werner Becher expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting their aim to use established technology for sustainable growth. Lastly, CopyBet has announced a new series of horse racing sponsorships, the largest in its history. The sponsorship will span seven race meetings and 41 races at venues including Carlisle and Kempton, kickstarting on Monday with the CopyBet Afternoon Jump Racing at Kempton Park. CopyBet UK Managing Director Mark Smith stated that the company is proud to support British racing amid an evolving industry landscape.
