Leonid Kirakosyan, the CEO of SoftConstruct, took the stage at the iGB Studio during ICE Barcelona 2026 to discuss the company's approach to artificial intelligence (AI) within the intricacies of the iGaming industry. Since assuming the CEO position, Kirakosyan has focused on aligning the board, senior leadership, and the broader organization around a cohesive strategy and a long-term vision rather than implementing drastic changes. This alignment has brought clarity to a diverse group encompassing B2B platforms, data, content, and B2C operations.
Central to this strategy is AI. SoftConstruct has launched a "Centre of Excellence" aimed at integrating AI throughout the organization, impacting areas such as compliance, live dealer monitoring, and user personalization. “That enables us to move faster because we’ll learn doing something in one business and bring it to another,” Kirakosyan noted, emphasizing how shared capabilities foster innovation across various units.
Speed is a hallmark of SoftConstruct’s operational culture, as Kirakosyan explained, “We move very fast. We release it. We see how that works.” This reflects a tendency towards immediate action and experimentation rather than lengthy planning phases.
The company's vertically integrated structure facilitates quick product development and insightful market understanding. However, Kirakosyan underscored the necessity of robust internal governance, advocating for clear “Chinese walls” to manage potential conflicts of interest between B2B and B2C operations.
Recruitment and talent acquisition pose ongoing challenges. SoftConstruct sources talent globally and promotes lateral movement within its business units, viewing this strategy as both a means of employee retention and an investment in their long-term development.
