Jamie Hart, a seasoned professional in the UK gambling sector, has joined Conquer Technology as the head of gambling, aiming to address integration challenges faced by operators. Previously the product director at UK Tote and holding executive roles at Tabcorp and William Hill, Hart seeks to bring a fresh perspective to technology integration for betting companies. He noted that many technical decisions tend to revolve around regulatory necessities, leaving limited scope for addressing other issues.

"Integration is typically the biggest issue for betting companies and that will be our number one target," Hart remarked. Conquer Technology is a full-service development studio that focuses on crafting high-quality solutions for client issues. Hart's introduction to the company was through an innovation competition during his tenure at William Hill from 2008 to 2016, where he met chief commercial officer David Carter.

Conquer Technology aims to enhance small-scale technical innovations and is willing to assume the risks involved, which can facilitate operators' implementation of advanced technologies. Hart emphasized that the consultancy would assist firms in various aspects, including regulatory compliance, Know Your Customer processes, and the introduction of new betting products and types.

"Operators find it difficult to get the bandwidth to experiment and test new things. It might be quicker and cheaper to do those with us than in-house," Hart explained. He also noted, "There certainly seem to be a lot more people involved in projects now than there was 20 years ago. I’m hoping we can provide a unique outsourcing model," he said.

Reflecting on his previous role at UK Tote, Hart acknowledged that while it was a passionate endeavor, he had broader ambitions to tackle different challenges in gambling. He stated, "There’s a lot more I want to do and change [in gambling] and the Tote's product was difficult to innovate."
