The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has ordered Forzza Gaming to halt all operations immediately after uncovering multiple violations of its licensing terms. Specifically, the operator, owned by Baron Sports Gaming Ltd., has been found to offer casino-type games beyond the limits set by its license.
In addition to ceasing all game operations, Forzza Gaming must also suspend all advertising and marketing activities for the time being. The RDB has urged the public to refrain from using any services provided by Forzza during this suspension.
The regulator issued a clear warning to licensed operators, emphasizing the need to adhere closely to their licensing agreements. Noncompliance could result in serious penalties, including potential suspension from operations or loss of their licenses altogether. Should Forzza continue its operations during this suspension, it will face further penalties.
This action comes on the heels of Rwanda's recent resumption of gambling licenses, which had been paused for a year. Following this hiatus, the RDB granted licenses to operators such as Betway, ElephantBet, and ForteBet. Alongside these developments, the RDB introduced a new Rwanda Gambling Policy designed to enhance regulatory oversight, promote compliance, and foster sustainable growth within the country’s gambling sector.
