The Rwanda Development Board (RDB), responsible for regulating gambling in the country, has directed Forzza Gaming to halt operations immediately. This action follows the discovery that the operator repeatedly offered casino-style games, exceeding its licensing privileges.
Forzza Gaming, owned by Baron Sports Gaming Ltd., must cease all gaming activities and discontinue any advertising or marketing efforts until further notice. The RDB has also cautioned the public against utilizing Forzza’s services during this suspension period.
The regulator emphasized that licensed operators are obligated to adhere strictly to the terms of their licenses. Failure to comply can lead to penalties, including the suspension of operations or revocation of their licenses. If Forzza continues to operate during this suspension, it will face additional penalties.
This development comes shortly after Rwanda resumed issuing gambling licenses, granting approvals to Betway, ElephantBet, and ForteBet after a one-year hiatus. Alongside this, the RDB has unveiled a new Rwanda Gambling Policy focusing on enhancing regulatory oversight, encouraging compliance, and fostering sustainable development within the gambling sector.
