MGM Resorts International, a prominent player in the American gambling and hospitality industry, recently faced a severe cybersecurity incident that compelled it to halt computer and website operations, significantly impacting its business.

In a recent update, the company has reassured the public that its properties have now returned to normal operations.

MGM Resorts has conveyed to its patrons that its dedicated staff is fully prepared to assist guests in addressing any lingering issues caused by the incident. Additionally, the company has introduced a flexible policy allowing customers to modify or cancel reservations made between September 13 and 24 without incurring any fees.

MGM Resorts issued a statement, expressing their satisfaction with the return to normalcy and expressing gratitude for the patience shown by their patrons. They eagerly anticipate the opportunity to welcome guests back in the near future.

Nevertheless, it’s worth noting that certain features of their loyalty program may still be inaccessible. As of the company’s latest communication, the online reservation system remains offline, prompting customers to make reservations via phone at 877-353-987. Unfortunately, MGM Resorts has not disclosed a specific timeframe for when these services will be fully restored.

Earlier this month, MGM Resorts fell victim to a cyberattack, which they have characterized as a “cybersecurity issue.” This incident occurred around the same time as a similar hacking incident targeting Caesars Entertainment.
