Bally’s Corporation has secured nearly $560 million in financing from WhiteHawk Capital Partners to support its pre-construction efforts for a $4 billion casino resort in the Bronx. The loan comprises a $400 million term loan commitment, which will be available upon closing, and an additional $160 million with a deferred draw option.
The majority of these funds are earmarked for pre-construction activities, although some will be allocated for general corporate needs. Bally’s expects to finalize the loan arrangement in the third quarter of 2026.
Soo Kim, the Chairman of Bally’s Board, stated, "This important financing allows us to progress the pre-construction planning process so that we are ready to complete the remainder of the capital raise and remain on schedule."
Bally’s obtained one of three downstate casino licenses in December 2025 and plans to construct the resort at Bally’s Golf Links located at Ferry Point Park. The total project cost is estimated at about $4 billion, which includes a $500 million licensing fee. The casino aims to open its doors in 2030.
In August, the company announced it had signed a non-binding term sheet for this pre-construction loan. Additionally, Bally’s is building a permanent casino in Chicago, with an investment of $1.7 billion, expected to open in early 2027. The financing from WhiteHawk enhances Bally’s liquidity, aiding in the Bronx project's execution while the company seeks to secure the remaining capital necessary for the venture alongside its other financing and development obligations.
