The Spectrum Gaming Group's report from 2022, central to the ongoing conflict between major game suppliers Playtech and Evolution, has been released as part of Evolution's legal battle against Black Cube. Black Cube, an intelligence agency hired by Playtech in 2020, investigated alleged misconduct by Evolution and produced a controversial report outlining its findings, which Evolution has strongly denied.
In reaction, Evolution engaged Spectrum Gaming Group to assess its own activities and evaluate the validity of Black Cube's claims. Although this report was initially kept confidential, Evolution asserted that it cleared the company of wrongdoing.
On Wednesday, Playtech issued a statement referencing alleged compliance issues concerning Evolution, as detailed in the Spectrum report.
The Spectrum report cited concerns regarding Evolution's game availability in certain restricted markets, potential regulatory repercussions, and insufficient monitoring of its customers. Despite these points, it ultimately concluded that Evolution had not engaged in illegal activities.
iGB will provide the full 68-page report, accessible to registered users of the New Jersey court system, below. Additionally, a news analysis highlighting the report's key findings will be published soon.
