ChatBet and iSolutions Partner for Conversational Betting Expansion in Africa

ChatBet, a platform specializing in conversational betting and transactional messaging, has teamed up with iSolutions to broaden access to AI-driven betting solutions across Africa and other emerging markets.

This collaboration enables operators utilizing the iSolutions platform to seamlessly integrate ChatBet’s technology, allowing users to explore betting markets, create bet slips, and complete their betting experiences via popular messaging services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, as well as web or app-based chat widgets.

The initiative aims to connect with players through their preferred communication channels while alleviating the challenges often associated with traditional sportsbook applications and mobile websites.

Africa presents a significant opportunity for conversational betting due to the pivotal role messaging platforms have in consumer communication, transactions, and brand engagement.

By merging iSolutions’ foundational platform and its regional operator connections with ChatBet’s conversational technology, both companies are working towards rendering betting more accessible, intuitive, and tailored to local preferences.

In addressing Africa's mobile-first markets, Josh Swerdlow, founder and CEO of ChatBet, remarked, "iSolutions gives us a strong platform partner for expanding across Africa and other high-growth markets.

In many of these markets, messaging is already the primary digital interface. The opportunity is not to force players into another app, but to allow them to discover, engage, and transact through conversations they already understand. This partnership will make it significantly easier for iSolutions operators to add conversational betting as a new acquisition, engagement, and transactional channel."

Filippo Ceci, co-founder and director of iSolutions, stated, "Our policy at iSolutions has always been to integrate the best products available on the market, based on the choices of our clients and supported by our consultancy.

Our operators drive their own business strategies. Our role is to support those choices with the right technology and the right partners. The partnership with ChatBet reflects exactly that approach. Conversational betting is particularly well suited to Africa and other mobile-first markets, and we are pleased to make the technology available across our operator network."

Currently, ChatBet and iSolutions are collaborating on an initial deployment with operators, with more launches anticipated across their network.

In April, Bola Group introduced ChatBet as the first conversational betting platform of its kind in Africa. Bola Group CEO Hilton Hasson characterized the launch as a major milestone not just for the company but for the entire African betting landscape.

"Our teams have spent six months working on something that has never existed in Africa before," Hasson shared. "WhatsApp is already in everyone’s pocket; data costs make traditional platforms a barrier, and sports betting in this market is still massively underserved digitally, and ChatBet solves all three issues."

ChatBet made its debut in Zambia, with plans to expand into additional markets, particularly targeting Zimbabwe and Malawi as next steps.
