Soft2Bet's Player Experience Academy Returns to SBC Summit 2026

Soft2Bet will bring back its Player Experience Academy at the SBC Summit 2026 on September 29. Now entering its second year, this educational initiative aims to highlight the importance of user satisfaction and regulatory compliance in enhancing player experiences, driving sustainable growth, and promoting responsible gaming.

The Academy's return follows the success of its inaugural session last year, which saw unprecedented demand. This year, the program is tailored to provide senior decision-makers with hands-on strategies to improve player experiences while ensuring adherence to compliance standards across competitive landscapes.

Taking place at Sala Tejo, MEO Arena, the Player Experience Academy is part of SBC Summit’s Education+ program. This half-day event will gather industry leaders and commercial executives for sessions led by experts, focusing on research, behavioral science, and commercial strategies related to player engagement and retention.

The agenda will cover various aspects, including behavioral design, player psychology, personalization approaches, and retention strategies. Attendees can expect expert lectures, panel discussions, demonstrations, and practical workshops designed to translate product strategies into tangible business outcomes.

Rasmus Sojmark, the Founder and CEO of SBC, commented, "Some of the most effective engagement mechanics in iGaming came from outside the industry. Video games, retail and entertainment have shown how missions, progression systems, battle passes and personalised rewards build stronger and more lasting customer relationships. This Academy will explore how operators can adapt those ideas while recognising the industry's regulatory responsibilities."

He emphasized the importance of examining which elements can be adapted, what modifications are necessary, and how gamification can enhance engagement while prioritizing player protection. David Yatom Hay, General Counsel at Soft2Bet, noted that the second edition of the Academy aims to focus more on execution rather than theory, equipping participants with the necessary frameworks, insights, and strategies to foster stronger player engagement, improve retention, and achieve measurable commercial success.

The Academy re-emerges against a backdrop of rapid industry growth, demonstrated by the SBC Summit's attendance, which surged from 25,000 attendees in 2024 to over 30,000 in 2025. Achieving true sustainable growth requires more than just operational expansion; it calls for a dedication to mentoring the next generation and sharing knowledge to elevate the gaming sector.

The Player Experience Academy is grounded in this philosophy, transforming behavioral design into a collaborative tool that benefits industry leaders and newcomers alike. By fostering open dialogue and research-driven insights, it contributes to improving player experiences, promoting responsible gaming, and advancing innovative entertainment.

The event will occur on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 13:30 to 17:00 at Sala Tejo, MEO Arena. More details regarding the program, guest speakers, and registration will be released soon.
