iGB has officially launched its Most Influential Women initiative for 2026, marking the ninth year of this recognition program. Since its inception in 2018, the initiative has aimed to celebrate the contributions of women in the gaming industry, spotlighting their achievements and efforts to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
Throughout these years, various sectors within the gaming industry have been highlighted, showcasing the impressive diversity of talent among recipients. Previous winners have shared insights into their careers and aspirations, contributing to a broader understanding of the industry's landscape.
The initiative has recognized a wide range of roles, from recruitment and regulation to cybersecurity and tribal gaming, reflecting how women from varied backgrounds are united by a commitment to enhancing diversity in the industry.
This year, the judging panel welcomes back many members for their first, second, or third consecutive year. Their ongoing participation underscores the campaign's credibility and the esteem in which it is held throughout the sector as similar initiatives increasingly gain prominence in industry discussions.
As of today, submissions for nominations for the 2026 Most Influential Women list are now open. The campaign seeks to honor women who are driving change and serving as significant figures within their companies and the industry as a whole.
Nominees should be accompanied by comprehensive details to provide a clear representation of their achievements and career paths. While some may consider using AI for submissions, organizers emphasize that personal entries yield a more accurate reflection of candidates in line with the submission criteria.
The submission window will remain open until October 1, after which nominations will be reviewed by the esteemed panel of judges.
