Dan Taylor Takes the Helm as Flutter CEO

Dan Taylor has officially taken over as the CEO of Flutter, succeeding Peter Jackson who stepped down after nearly nine years at the helm. Taylor's appointment as Group Chief Executive took effect on October 1, 2026, following Jackson’s departure on September 30, 2026.

Taylor has been involved with Flutter since 2015, serving most recently as the President and CEO of the company’s International division. He expressed optimism about the opportunities ahead for Flutter’s growth, stating, "I wouldn’t swap our hand for anyone else’s. We have exceptional brands, fantastic products, hugely talented teams, and a deep understanding of our customers and markets."

To ensure a smooth transition, Jackson will remain with Flutter as an advisor through the end of 2026. John Bryant, the Chair of Flutter, expressed the board's confidence in Taylor as the new leader, saying, "The Board is pleased to appoint Dan as Flutter’s next Group Chief Executive Officer," adding that they believe he is well-suited to guide the company in its next growth phase.

In his farewell message, Jackson reflected on the company’s bold decisions during his tenure, mentioning, "We took a chance on FanDuel when plenty of people thought we were slightly crazy. We brought Paddy Power Betfair and The Stars Group together just as Covid hit."

As he steps into his new role, Dan Taylor will oversee not only the International division but also FanDuel, marking a significant moment in Flutter’s leadership and strategic direction.
