Backseat Gaming, the independent player-led studio, will showcase its revamped senior team at SBC Summit 2026, marking its presence at an industry event for the first time since transitioning into a fully independent developer with its own Remote Game Server (RGS).
Attending the conference in Lisbon later this month will be a delegation that includes Debbie Cooper, the Head of Commercial Operations, along with new team members Kristina Hambardzumyan as Head of Business Development, Graeme Savill as Head of Business Development – Emerging Markets, and Kristeena Haidon, the Senior Account Manager.
This trip to Portugal’s capital presents a significant opportunity for Backseat Gaming to display its ability to create and deliver player-focused content to an international audience. The studio has gained popularity for its weekly game releases, which include titles like Born in Hell, Toad Town, and Totem Tower Bonanza.
The event allows the team the chance to meet operators and partners in person, reinforcing their strategic position as an independent company aiming to capitalize on their recent successes.
Debbie Cooper expressed enthusiasm about the company’s progress since gaining independence, saying: "It’s great to see Backseat Gaming thriving since its independence. This strategy allows us to respond quickly to partner needs and deliver the kind of games players genuinely want to engage with. It also gives us the flexibility to tailor our release schedule and portfolio strategy to support long-term partner success." She added, "In recent months, we’ve welcomed some highly experienced and talented individuals to the team, and I’m looking forward to attending SBC Summit Lisbon with them to meet partners face-to-face, connect with new people, and demonstrate exactly what Backseat Gaming has to offer.
