In April 2021, Nevada's gaming revenue reached $1.04 billion, marking the second consecutive month the state's revenue exceeded $1 billion. This achievement followed March's revenues, which represented the first time the state had surpassed the $1 billion mark since February 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, comparisons to April 2020 are unavailable since all gaming establishments were closed.
Slots remained the primary revenue generator, contributing $793.7 million, a 2.8% increase from March, with players wagering $11.05 billion. Multi-denomination slots accounted for $355.2 million of this total, while penny slots generated $340.8 million.
Table games, however, saw a revenue decline of 16.7% month-over-month, bringing in $245.8 million. The amounts wagered on these games also fell by 6.5%, totaling $2.02 billion.
