PG Soft has named Hugo Baungartner as General Manager for Latin America, aiming to boost its growth across the region. In this role, Baungartner will oversee the company’s commercial expansion efforts, particularly in Brazil, where PG Soft has already garnered a substantial market share.
Brazil, with its burgeoning gaming market, is entering a crucial period of regulatory development, especially with upcoming elections. Baungartner brings over 29 years of experience in technology and gaming, having previously held leadership positions at Grupo Aposta Ganha, RCT Gaming, Prohards, and most recently, Esportes Gaming Brasil.
Throughout his career, Baungartner has cultivated a significant network within Latin America’s regulatory space. He has established strong connections with key regulators and industry entities, including Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA/MF), the Federal Revenue Service, COAF, as well as Mexico’s Directorate General for Games and Draws and AIEJA (the Mexican Gaming Association).
In a statement, Baungartner expressed his enthusiasm: "PG Soft’s brand needs no introduction in Latin America thanks to its extensive portfolio of world-class, mobile-first games that resonate strongly with players. The company is only just getting started in the region, and I look forward to building on its success in Brazil while expanding PG Soft’s presence across regulated markets throughout Latin America."
PG Soft’s dedication to the region is evident in its support for significant events, notably its sponsorship of the BiS SiGMA South America held earlier this year in São Paulo, showcasing its commitment to Brazil and the broader Latin American market.
