This month’s pre-Christmas chart and role of gaming music is a treat for fans of both Super Mario and Grinch. Kevin Dale, from Egamingmonitor examines the charts.

It’s Christmas early, yay! You may not be so happy, though. “Those trees are up several weeks sooner than in the old days. And that muzik is on repeat since Halloween.”

Black Friday is a Black Friday phenomenon that has been exported to Europe. Amazon and Walmart have been pushing it for over a decade, and the event now marks the beginning of Christmas. We didn’t really need much of an incentive, not even for egaming.

Commercial pressure is the main reason why Christmas arrives earlier each year. In October, for example, there were twice as many new Christmas slot machines launched than last year. We all seem to be eager to get another week’s worth of casino games or to take a bigger share of Christmas money.

Although the Santa Slots that launched in October and Novembre managed to attract a few Black Friday shoppers, there was no Christmas Slot in our Top 20 for November. This is probably because operators do not release their Christmas Collections until December. This year, at least.

The Top 20 Games by Distribution

It is a dull month, and the chart positions are stagnant. No new games have been released. This is a good reason to listen to some music that was in the news this past week ….

Play’n GO has announced that it will publish music remixed by well-known artists and will be published in their games. Spotify is another Swedish export that has the soundtrack of Pilgrim of the Dead or the electro-pop of Gargantoonz.

Like movie soundtracks in video games, game music publishing has been “a thing” for a long time. Crossover projects are common between music and gaming sectors (and films). The soundtracks for games like Minecraft, Super Mario, and Halo are hugely popular. In Fortnite, Eminem’s avatar performed “live” on the stage. Virtual players donned their Eminem skins and played air guitar.

Play’n GO’s foray into music is ambitious, even if it’s not on the same level as Minecraft or Fortnite. Music revenue might be minimal, but this project shows the studios’ quality. The project is intended to build a after of their most popular games and game families. The promotion of classic games, like the “Of Dead”, family promotes immortality, even if the production costs are not amortized.

It is not well-known that audio tracks and sound effect are important in creating an immersive and memorable experience. Why not rework the tracks of some of our most popular casino games if Koji Kondo’s famous music can?

EveryMatrix, the most active aggregator on the deal front, continues to maintain a commanding lead, and has added Popok Gaming in this month.

Pateplay, a Bulgarian studio that has partnered with BetConstruct, Digitain and others in the past few months, is now at the top of our list of studios.

The interactive chart on top does not include live games or table games. The number of games that appear on casino homepages from more than 2,500 casino sites determines the game rankings. The rolling chart shows the current performance of dealmaking. How many agreements were made in the past six months?
