Bally Bet launches in Massachusetts on 2 July; VSC in Maryland

Bally Bet announced Monday, 1 July that it plans to begin operations on Tuesday, 2 July. Bally Bet’s request for an operations certificate was approved by the commission, paving the way for a launch on Tuesday (2 July).

Bally Bet will launch on Tuesday at 11am local time, according to the MGC.

Bally Bet’s temporary license has been in place for 18 months. It is also the last operator to be approved for the launch of 2023. Bally Bet, which will be the seventh option in Massachusetts after Betr and WynnBet left earlier this year.

Bally Bet chose to delay the launch of its universal version on March 10, 2023. It renewed its licence at $1 million earlier in this year.

Jordan Maynard, chairman of the MGC said: “Congratulations Bally’s and thank you for becoming another legal player in the market.” Bally’s Interactive’s operation certificate was unanimously approved by the commission.

Bally Bet joins BetMGM Sportsbook in Massachusetts, along with DraftKings Sportsbook and Fanatics Sportsbook.

Bally Bet will now be available in Massachusetts. Bally Bet is available in Arizona, Colorado Indiana, Iowa New York Ohio and Virginia.

VSC Launches in Maryland

While Massachusetts betting fans await Bally Bet’s launch, Marylanders got an option Monday when Veterans Services Corporation went live. LetsBetMD, the company’s mobile platform was launched. This brings the total number of sportsbooks on mobile to 12. Bee-Fee LLC, a British company is the partner in this project.

VSC finished its controlled demonstration at the end of May. Marylanders will also be getting a new platform in the next few days. Betr has announced that it will launch its platform soon. Maryland’s Sports Wagering Application Review Commission granted Betr its license on 26 June. Before launching, the company will have to undergo a controlled demo.
