Kansspelautoriteit has issued SarahEternal Srl an order with a penalty attached for providing games of chance on its website Casinosky without a license.

Sarah Eternal will face a fine up to EUR840,000 if it does not permanently stop offering illegal services.

It was noted by the authority that inspectors had checked the Casinosky site to determine if the website could be accessed from the Netherlands, and whether they were able to create an account, make a deposit, and play, and they confirmed they could.

The KSA also claimed that even players who clearly state on their accounts that they are from the Netherlands can still play, and a penalty order has therefore been issued.

The authority stated that providers who don’t have licenses for the Dutch gambling market should do all they can to prevent Dutch gamblers from coming to their sites. For example, by creating an IP Block.

Inspectors of the Ksa can create an account on the casinosky.com site of the provider Sarah Eternal, deposit money and play illegal games. It was possible to do this if it was clearly indicated on the account that the player is from The Netherlands. The Ksa imposed a penalty order for this reason.

KSA also added that the ruling can be appealed.

The KSA announced at the end of April that the majority of their new Responsible Gaming Policy would be implemented by June 3 and the remaining policy will follow in October 2024.
