FanDuel is offering its players a three-month free trial of FanDuel Sports Network as a new bet-and-get promotion.
From Dec. 19 to Jan. 20, users who opt in and place a $5 sportsbook bet or enter any paid FanDuel DFS contest will get a promo code for a trial subscription of the regional sports networks’ direct-to-consumer streaming service.
The offer is available to any users who reside within a local FanDuel Sports Network territory and do not already have a FanDuel Sports Network subscription.
FanDuel’s promotion is likely an attempt to boost visibility of and engagement with its regional sports broadcasting network after it completed the rebranding of the Diamond Sports Group’s 16 regional sports networks in October as part of a new long-term commercial partnership. Diamond agreed to the exclusive naming rights deal at a time when it faced bankruptcy and after terminating a previous 10-year naming rights deal with Bally Sports.
As a result of the deal, FanDuel Sports Network is now the local TV and streaming home of 13 NBA teams, eight NHL teams and seven MLB teams in the U.S. It delivers live games, pre/postgame coverage and award-winning programming.
FanDuel Sports Network adds FanDuel TV shows to slate
FanDuel also announced that two popular shows from its linear cable television network FanDuel TV, Up & Adams and Run It Back, have been added to the FanDuel Sports Network programming lineup across all regional networks.
The former show, hosted by Kay Adams, is available on the networks now, while Run It Back, a daily live NBA show hosted by Michelle Beadle and former NBA stars Chandler Parsons and Lou Williams, will also air and stream on the networks starting in January.
FanDuel noted it will announce further partnerships in the coming months.
