SEGG Files $20M Lawsuit Against White Diamond Research Over Fraud Allegations

Sports Entertainment Gaming Global (SEGG) has initiated a $20 million lawsuit against White Diamond Research, alleging that the research firm disseminated false and defamatory claims about SEGG, leading to a drop of over 50% in its stock value. The conflict stems from a report released on June 10 by White Diamond, which characterized SEGG as a 'fake company' and raised doubts about several of its business announcements, including a claimed partnership with Polymarket, which the report deemed improbable. In light of these allegations, SEGG contends that the report included misleading statements instead of legitimate investment opinions, prompting the company to pursue legal action based on the assertion that White Diamond knowingly spread falsehoods. Furthermore, White Diamond Research pointed out concerns regarding the operations of Sports.com, stating that despite SEGG's many declarations about its growth ambitions, the Sports.com platform had yet to be launched. In response to its challenges, SEGG recently introduced prediction market contracts on FIFA World Cup matches via its Sports Predicts platform. This lawsuit arrives at a challenging juncture for SEGG, which has admitted to a delayed submission of its financial results, reporting revenue of $690,000 for 2025 alongside an operating loss of $18,100,000, all while it is also pursuing the acquisition of Veloce Esports.
