Eilers-Fantini : Games Global’s DGC purchase shows progress in the US

In the most recent Eilers-Fantini report on online gaming performance in the US, Games Global jumped to the top of supplier charts and surpassed Evolution, IGT, and Light & Wonder.

Its growth can be traced to the acquisition of Digital Gaming Corporation. This company has been a consistent performer according to recent Eilers-Fantini report.

Eilers and Krejcik gaming, and Fantini Research were again accompanying the monthly report with their newly released insights into Canada’s Igaming Ecosystem. Practimatic Play was almost at the top of the pile again.

US Statistics

Anaxi’s Buffalo was the most popular game in the previous month, but January brought two new competitors from IGT: Blackjack & cash Eruption.

Buffalo’s GGR percentage fell to 2,14 percent, which allowed IGT Blackjack to gain the lead despite its own GGR drop to 2,64 percent.

Blazing Bison Gold Blitz, which was previously owned by DGC, is still in the top 5, climbing up to the fourth position at 1.36 percent.

Light & Wonder’s Lightning Roulette, a live casino game by GGR, ranked fifth with 1,16 percent in February.

The top 25 GGR titles were 16 slot releases. This was the format that performed best. Five live casino releases, three table game titles and one video-poker release rounded out the rest of GGR’s top 25 titles.

Cash Eruption took second place, after climbing up one position.

AGS‘s Capital gains slot jumped from fourth to third position, Evolution’s live dealer speeder baccarat soared from 12th place to fourth place and Games Global Buffalo Bison Gold Blitz fell from second to fifth place.

Cash Eruption topped the slots chart, followed by Capital Gains. These two slots both climbed a place, as Blazing Bison Gold Blitz dropped from the top spot to third.

Pop a Shot by Design Works Gaming climbed 18 spots to take the fourth place, jumping from 22nd. Light & Wonder 88 fortunes was in fifth.

Anaxi, Reel Play 4ThePlayer White Hat Studios Play’n GO Greentube and Reel Play each found a spot in the 25 top spots.

Eight individual suppliers made up the Top 10.

Three new games dominated the US new rankings. The leader of January, Greentube Diamond Cash Mighty Buffalo fell to the seventh position.

Anaxi’s Buffalo Gold Collection, which had been ranked second in the previous month, climbed to the number one spot. Positions two, three, and four were taken by the newcomers Platinum 8x8x8x (from AGS), Fishin Pots Of Gold Gold Blitz(from Games Global) and Play’n GO’s Piggy Blitz.

4ThePlayer’s latest slot release 4 Fantastic Fish climbed from the eighth position to achieve a top five finish.

All 25 of the games in the chart’s top 25 are slot games.

Evolution topped the charts for another month, achieving 19,6 percent of GGR. IGT, Light & Wonder, and Light & Wonder, respectively, remained in second and third place with 17,9 and 14,2 percent.

A new supplier came as close as any we have ever seen to cracking the top three, with Games Global achieving a GGR percentage of 9,7 percent. In the supplier mix for each game category, Games Global had 100% slot titles.

In contrast, IGT and Light & Wonder have a portfolio of 86.1 percent slots each, while Evolution has 85.5 percent slots.

Table games, which account for 3.6 percent, are unable to compete with the dominance of slots.

Video poker, with one percent, and lottery/Bingo/Keno, which shared a 0.2-percent share, were the next highest, followed by instant win games, at 1.8 percent.

The mobile device generated the most theoretical wins, with 79.6%. Desktops’ percentage was 29.3% and tablets’ 1.1 percent.

The latest data analysis examined the market in Michigan, West Virginia Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut, examining 50 416 online games that represent approximately 64% of US players.

Canadian performance

The third Canadian Eilers Fantini Report, which was released in 2013, covered data from eight Canadian online casinos and 10,080 casino games played across four provinces.

Top games for GGR are Live Dealer Roulette by Evolution, which has 1.47 percent of GGR. IGT Cash Eruption is second with 1.29 percent.

The rest of the five slots are Evolution Live Dealer Baccarat (1.16%), Pragmatic Play’s Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus.

IGT, with a theoretical winning percentage of 16.7 percent, has surpassed Pragmatic Play as the leader in the Canadian supplier chart.

Light & Wonder, Evolution, and Pragmatic Play ranked third and fourth, respectively, at 13.97 per cent and 13.65 percent.
