Genius Sports announced that it has launched interactive games free to play for their operators including Betway and Bet365.

Genius will offer a free-to play offering that includes weekly games, matchday games as well as daily retention and tournament games. They are designed to serve a variety of purposes, including activating the sportsbook’s brand and providing daily segmented player interaction.

Genius offers a range of bespoke solutions for free-to play to help operators achieve their objectives. These include gamification strategies, custom games, and game design.

Genius also integrates its advertising solution to help operators drive more players away from the free-to play games and into their sportsbook. Genius’ advertising division will utilize advanced analytics to help operators measure the impact of paid media.

Genius is a new tool that aims to help operators increase customer loyalty and acquisition.

Launched by the provider, it aims to help operators increase customer loyalty and acquisition. Genius chief revenue officer Josh Linforth stated that the new games provide betting operators incredible value throughout their entire player lifecycle.

We are excited to grow our partnership through proven gaming solutions.

A new strategy for Genius following mixed FY2023

Genius has announced that it will be launching a free-to play vertical after releasing mixed results for the 2023 financial years.

Its revenue increased by 21% between 2023 and 2019. Genius exceeded its previous guidance by $413.0m ($324.5m/EUR379.3m), reaching $413.0m in the fiscal year.

Genius saw its revenue increase boosted by two operating segments. The increase in revenue was evident in Genius’ Betting Technologies, Content & Service segment. This division accounted for 274.2m dollars of total revenues.

The adjusted EBITDA rocketed by 238,3% to $53.3m. The initial forecast of $41m was again exceeded.

Genius recorded an $85.5m loss for the entire year, even with increases in revenue and EBITDA. Genius, however, praised “improved performance” for the fact that the loss was reduced by more than half from the previous year’s $181.6m.

Genius to continue Premier League Data Deal

Genius announced earlier this week that it was the winning bidder for the extension of its official betting data partner with Football DataCo. Football DataCo holds the data rights to English Premier League.

This move covers all data rights from the English Football League, including League One, League Two and Championship. It also includes the Scottish Professional Football League, which oversees the Scottish Premiership, along with the other leagues.

DataCo has entered an exclusive negotiation period with the provider to complete the agreement. Genius Sports will continue to provide data on over 4,000 UK soccer matches per year under the new deal, which runs until 2029.
