Genius Sports signs data-distribution agreement with XFL

Sports Data Business Genius Sports and minor football league XFL have agreed on a data distribution agreement.

Genius has been granted exclusive rights by XFL to provide official data for all XFL matches to their media partners and betting partnership.

Genius Sports, the official provider of betting data and free-to play for XFL, is now a partner in this partnership.

Sean Conroy is Genius Sports executive vice president. He believes that a data policy with a wide range of options can be a key component to a sport organisation’s success.

He said that “for every sports league it is essential to have an official data-driven strategy which drives new revenue and increases fan engagement.” We’re excited to be partnering with the XFL and connecting their games with media and betting sectors, while creating meaningful interactions with fans through the bespoke XFL pick’em solution.

Pick’Em

Genius Sports also developed a football-themed app called XFL pick’em. The game is a gamified version of a traditional football predictions.

Bass explained how better technology use could contribute to the success of the League in the long term.

She continued, “Genius has been a pioneer in exploring the next frontier of fan engagement for the next generation.”

Fan engagement engine

Genius Sports launched its Genius Marketing Suite earlier this month. The suite offers partners a variety of games that are personalised, tools for media purchasing, and data feeds. This helps businesses connect with fans better.
