SBC Summit has introduced the Regulatory Gaming Meet-Ups, an initiative aimed at linking delegates with regulators, industry experts, and key figures from over 20 gaming jurisdictions. This networking opportunity is set for September 29 to October 1, 2026, at the Regulatory Gaming Meet-Up Lounge (F4-17) in Lisbon.

The meet-ups will facilitate discussions on various topics, including market trends, regulatory updates, compliance frameworks, and business opportunities, tailored to experts and stakeholders active in specific markets and regulatory environments.

Organized by jurisdiction and region, these sessions will allow participants to concentrate on the markets that align with their business interests.

Sessions will cover significant global gaming markets—comprising Eurasia, Latin America, Africa, Asia, North America, and European regions including the Balkans, Central & Eastern Europe (CEE), and the Nordics & Baltics. Additionally, there will be a strong emphasis on Europe’s varied regulatory landscape, featuring specific discussions on Italy, Malta, Finland, Portugal, Spain, France, Germany & DACH, the UK & Ireland, Greece & Cyprus, as well as the Netherlands & Belgium.

The programme will also address regulatory environments in the Emirates, Curaçao, and India, providing deeper insights into these notable markets.

To maintain relevance and practical engagement, each Regulatory Gaming Meet-Up will be hosted by regulators, industry associations, and specialists with firsthand experience in the jurisdictions discussed.

Confirmed hosts include:
– Charles Mizzi (CEO, Malta Gaming Authority), leading discussions on Malta’s evolving regulations.
– Ricardo Domingues (President, APAJO) and Luis Carvalho (Partner, Lektou), hosting the Portugal Regulatory Gaming Breakfast.

Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, remarked, "What we’re creating with the Regulatory Gaming Meet-Ups is direct access to the people responsible for shaping, interpreting, and navigating these markets every day. This gives delegates the opportunity to ask better questions, gain practical insights that can’t be found in a report or presentation, and make more informed business decisions."

This initiative stems from SBC’s collaboration with the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) and the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL), aiming to enhance regulatory expertise through a series of educational and networking opportunities.

In addition to the Regulatory Gaming Meet-Ups, attendees can delve into regulatory developments through the SBC Summit's conference program, featuring presentations across two main stages. The Global & Emerging Markets Stage will tackle commercial and regulatory challenges in gaming markets, while the Regulation & Compliance Stage will examine global regulations and compliance technologies.

Scheduled for September 29 to October 1, 2026, SBC Summit will gather 40,000 industry professionals at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa and MEO Arena for three days of networking, exhibitions, and insightful educational talks.
