EveryMatrix has secured a six-year tender to provide its portfolio of 65 online games to Veikkaus, which will be available to players in Finland. The games will feature content from EveryMatrix’s Spearhead Studios and Armadillo Studios, alongside offerings from its SlotMatrix partners. This rollout is contingent upon Veikkaus successfully integrating EveryMatrix’s igaming platform, CasinoEngine.
Stian Hornsletten, chief commercial officer of EveryMatrix, remarked, "Winning Veikkaus as a client marks another major milestone for EveryMatrix. We are already working with several other state-owned monopolies and have enough experience in the field to deliver the best service to Veikkaus. Our team looks forward to supporting Veikkaus in their journey, and we are keen to get started as soon as possible."
Amidst this development, Veikkaus' monopoly status in Finland has faced scrutiny. In December 2021, the country’s Constitutional Committee stated there was insufficient justification for maintaining Veikkaus' monopoly. Additionally, the Administrative Committee proposed an inquiry into the potential end of this monopoly.
