Danske Spil has reported a year-on-year revenue increase, reaching DKK 5.09 billion in 2021. The bulk of this revenue, DKK 2.79 billion, originated from lottery operations, which saw a rise from DKK 2.63 billion in 2020. Danske Licens Spil, known for its licensed offerings such as sports betting and gaming, contributed DKK 1.82 billion. The gaming hall division, Elite Gaming, generated DKK 207.8 million, while the fantasy sports platform Swush brought in DKK 15.1 million.

In 2021, 58% of the gross gaming revenue (GGR) was derived from online gambling, with the remaining 42% from offline activities. After deducting DKK 615.8 million for state taxes, DKK 472.8 million in dealer commissions, and DKK 278.3 million in other gaming-related expenses, the total gaming profits reached DKK 3.46 billion, showing a slight increase from DKK 3.40 billion in 2020.

External costs amounted to DKK 712.7 million, accompanied by DKK 369.8 million in depreciation and DKK 318.6 million in staff costs, which reduced profits despite additional financial income of DKK 26.3 million, leading to an overall profit of DKK 2.10 billion.

After accounting for income tax of DKK 447.5 million and financial expenses of DKK 48.1 million, the total earnings for the year stood at DKK 1.63 billion, an increase of 11.6% from the previous year. A significant portion of this profit can be attributed to Danske Lotteri Spil, which generated DKK 1.48 billion, while Danske Licens Spil accounted for DKK 163.3 billion. Swush contributed DKK 6.7 million, whereas Elite Gaming reported a loss of DKK 6.9 million.

During 2021, the Danish government indicated plans to merge Danske Spil with the Danish Class Lottery (Danske Klasselotteri). Referring to the positive outcomes associated with Danske Lotteri Spil, Danske Spil CEO Nikolas Lyhne-Knudsen expressed satisfaction, stating, 'The year ended with a record profit after tax of DKK 1.48 billion. It is a result of innovation and new products, successful sales and effective marketing, digitisation and a strengthening of the subscription business, where Danske Lotteri Spil in 2021 received a total of approximately 7,500 new customers.' He highlighted the company's commitment to responsible entertainment, aiming to create significant value for Danish society.
