PG Soft, a notable player in the digital mobile gaming sector, has named Hugo Baungartner as its General Manager for Latin America. In this capacity, Baungartner is tasked with spearheading the company's commercial growth in the region, with a particular focus on Brazil, where PG Soft has already established a prominent foothold.
As Brazil’s gaming market is poised for substantial growth amid significant regulatory changes anticipated with the upcoming elections, Baungartner's experience will be critical. He brings more than 29 years of expertise in technology and gaming, having previously served in prominent positions at Grupo Aposta Ganha, RCT Gaming, Prohards, and most recently, Esportes Gaming Brasil.
During his career, Baungartner has developed a strong network within the regulatory framework of Latin America, forming vital connections with various regulatory entities and industry organizations. These include Brazil's Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA/MF), the Federal Revenue Service, and COAF, as well as Mexico’s Dirección General de Juegos y Sorteos and the Mexican Gaming Association (AIEJA).
Commenting on his new role, Baungartner stated, "PG Soft's brand needs no introduction in Latin America due to its vast array of high-quality, mobile-first games that strongly appeal to players. The company is just beginning its journey in the region, and I am eager to enhance its success in Brazil while broadening PG Soft's impact across other regulated markets in Latin America."
PG Soft's ongoing engagement with the region, demonstrated by its sponsorship of major events like BiS SiGMA South America earlier this year in São Paulo, underlines the company’s commitment to Brazil and the broader Latin American gaming landscape.
