Foster is appointed as the new Chief Information Officer at Flutter’s Sportsbet

Flutter Entertainment’s Sportsbet announced that Michael Foster has been appointed as the new Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Sportsbet.

Foster has been working at Sportsbet since 2007. He has held the positions of general manager enterprise technology, and general manager customer experience delivery.

Foster was employed by advertising service provider Sensis before joining Sportsbet. He held a variety of managerial roles, including that of group manager for the IT operations.

Foster spent time as an IT manager at Sensis Classifieds, where he led the online classifieds systems. He also worked for digital consulting and services company Infosys.

Foster to become CIO

Foster said in an announcement on LinkedIn that he was “excited and thrilled” about the opportunity to join Sportsbet.

Foster stated that Sportsbet was an amazing organisation. The last seven years were incredibly rewarding, both professionally and personally. It is a true dream to now be able to lead the technology capabilities of our company.

Our technology team is a great example of how to combine tech innovation and customer needs in order to create incredible products and services. “I look forward to working with the team to continue to reach these goals and to strive for even greater heights.”

Sportsbet said: “Michael has been working with our company since 2016, in various senior leadership technology roles.

Michael has over 20 years of experience in various industries and technology leadership roles. He brings this expertise to his CIO role. “We’re thrilled to have him join our leadership team.”
