Kambi hired a new chief executive officer after Kristian Nylen resigned earlier in the year.

The B2B platform for sports betting has named Werner Becher CEO with effect from July 25, 2018. Becher joined Kambi as CEO after working for the sports data aggregator Sportradar.

Becher said that he was “honored” to be appointed as CEO of Kambi Group. The company has led the industry in this field for years, and I hold it in the highest regard and admire its work. I join Kambi Group at a time of exciting evolution as the company continues to expand its market and open its services.

Becher served as the CEO for two years of Sportradar’s Europe Middle East Africa and Latin America businesses. Becher played a key role in guiding Sportradar to its first public offering at the NASDAQ, which took place in 2021. Sportradar was valued at $7.9 Billion when it raised $670 MILLION during the IPO.

Becher spent time as the Managing Director for Sportradar’s U.S. operations. Becher has spent over seven years as CEO of the Interwetten Group – a Malta based live casino and sports betting company.

New board member for Kambi

Becher was hired to be Kambi’s new CEO after Nylen resigned.

Nylen has resigned from his role as co-founder at Kambi, but continues to serve in an advisory capacity with the company. After being elected to the Board of Directors of Kambi in May, at its annual general meeting, Nylen will continue as a consultant for the company.
