GeoComply, a geolocation and fraud-prevention business, has been admitted as an associate member to the World Lottery Association.
GeoComply, as a member in the WLA will be able to access a wide range of resources. The WLA is a network of businesses that spans more than 80 nations around the globe.
GeoComply offers geolocation solutions for anti-fraud in a variety of industries including gambling. It counts WLA members lotteries as its clients.
GeoComply’s chief executive, co-founder Anna Sainsbury, said: “Our mission to make the Internet a safer space for all is our goal, and we’re thrilled to be supporting the lottery industry, who shares the same values as us and share a dedication to responsible gaming and charitable causes.”
WLA Executive Director Luca Esposito said: “As the online gaming industry continues to grow and develop, GeoComply’s services help protect our consumers from identity theft. They also support lotteries in order to avoid fraud.

GeoComply announced last month that it would target new growth markets, after Norwest Venture Partners confirmed new minor investments from funds managed by Arctos Sports Partners and Norwest Venture Partners.
GeoComply did not disclose the values or shareholdings of the transaction, but said the funds will help it expand its business into new markets and improve its current position.
