Egamingmonitor announced its launch of a new data product focusing on lottery games. It claims that this will revolutionise the way operators and suppliers monitor player behavior.

Lottery operators and providers will be able to gain access to unique data on players and wagers. Dashboards provide insight into products and market dynamics.

For the first time, stakeholders will have access to market share data for multiple lottery products including Eurojackpot, Powerball and others. Users will be able to track industry practices including changes to ball and jackpot configurations.

Kevin Dale is the chief executive at Egamingmonitor. “Last Year we introduced our Bingo product. The year before, it was Casino. This year, lottery will be the focus: It’s the oldest and biggest gaming segment,” he says.

We track all sales from state and national lotteries around the world. We can produce interactive reports both for lottery operators as well as suppliers.

Operators can compare their performance with other operators across the globe, and gain valuable insight into which products, features, or reconfigurations pay off. Higher revenues are the result of better decisions, which ultimately means that more money is donated to charities worldwide.

Egamingmonitor’s new product allowed it to identify the major trends for 2023. The key trends were based on the analysis of sales per capita of products with multi-state draws, and also on the susceptibility to increased jackpots in different areas.

New York topped the list of states for ticket sales per capita in multistate products. Ontario and Portugal also rank among the top.

The vast differences between Delaware and Spain are shown in the chart above. This is based on ticket sales compared to the size of jackpots. Delaware has a strong correlation between the number of tickets sold and the size of jackpot. La Primitiva Lottery Spain, however, sells the same amount of tickets no matter what the prize is.

Austrian Lottery is the leader in upselling products, selling over EUR100 per capita. Veikkaus, the state lottery of Finland and Caribbean Lottery are ranked second and third with EUR36.75 each.

Egamingmonitor has also shown a shift in Eurojackpot shares by operator. Szerencsejatek – a Hungarian operator – saw its share increase by 0.48%, while Danskespil suffered a drop of 0.53%.

Dale analysed in a December article for iGB the importance of music when it comes to casino games.
