Charles Mizzi is appointed CEO of Malta Gaming Authority

Charles Mizzi , the Chief executive officer of the Malta Gaming Authority, has been appointed as chief executive officer with effect from 26 January 2024.

Mizzi, who has spent five years with Residency Agency in Malta as a Residency Agent, will replace Carl Brincat at the MGA.

Mizzi, who has experience with operations management, will shadow Brincat throughout January to make sure the transition is smooth.

Mizzi commented on his role: “I feel honoured that I have the chance to be the leader of the Authority.

I am eager to build upon past success and work with my team, under the direction of the Minister responsible and the Board of Governors to strategically guide the Authority forward, so as to further strengthen Malta’s position, which is already strong in this field, while providing value to all stakeholder.

Silvio Schenbri Minister of the Economy, EU Funds and Lands thanked Brincat’s service as CEO over the last three years.

Brincat was previously Chief Legal Officer and Enforcement Officer at the MGA, as well as Chief Legal Counsel and Deputy Director General.

Schembri said: “With Charles Mizzi’s vast experience managing operations and contributions to major projects and the MGA, Charles Mizzi will undoubtedly be the best candidate for continuing building on the successes of the Authority and leading his outstanding colleagues towards future success.”
