To improve betting compliance, the Professional Fighters League has partnered up with ProhiBet.

ProhiBet will be used by the PFL to improve sporting integrity and comply with betting laws in each state.

This partnership is designed to stop PFL athletes, coaches, and others who have been banned from betting from participating in the events of their league. ProhiBet’s cross-monitoring platform and notifications will be used to accomplish this.

Matt Heap said that the PFL’s Matt Heap and ProhiBet would strengthen sports betting compliance through the agreement.

Heap said, “We’re thrilled to be partnering with the PFL.” The combination of ProhiBet’s encrypted data-transfer system with the PFL’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of sport will enhance transparency and trust in sports betting.

ProhiBet and the PFL

ProhiBet was created as a joint-venture between US Integrity, and Odds On Compliance. US Integrity provides wagering monitoring to sports stakeholders. Odds On Compliance is an independent compliance and technology firm that specializes in gaming and sports betting.

ProhiBet, the joint venture between Secure Sports Solutions and Secure Sports Solutions launched its first product in February 2023.

ProhiBet was first used by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)’s Big 12 Conference in August.

The conference stated at the time that this was part of its two-fold strategy to improve their oversight on sports betting. Big 12 also tightens its grip on the distribution of Big 12 information.

The PFL deal was announced just months after Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC), confirmed a deal similar to ProhiBet.

Yesterday (19 February), the UFC announced a new partnership with online gambling company Stake, establishing yet another link between sports betting and martial arts.

Stake and UFC are working together to enhance the betting experience at UFC events by offering promotions and VIP experiences. Exclusive content will be available with UFC athletes, such as Israel Adesanya who is Stake’s brand ambassador.

Stake became the exclusive title sponsor for Sauber Group Formula One Team. The deal covers the seasons 2024-2025.

Stake became a title sponsor of the Sauber Team last year. For the entire 2023 season, the team’s name was Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake.

Nick Smith, UFC’s vice president of global partnerships, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Stake, an exciting, emerging brand, to provide exclusive social and digital content for our fans as well as a unique gaming experience.” Stake offers fans a new way to enjoy the excitement and action of UFC. “UFC is known for being innovative and Stake allows them to do that.”
